How Superman came from Krypton to Earth!  How he gained his amazing Super-Powers!  How he assumed the secret identity of Clark Kent!  How he met Krypto, The Super-Dog!  How Kryptonite can destroy him!

Yes, this issue presents an expanded version of Superman’s origin story, incorporating later additions like the existence of Krypto, Superman’s time as Superboy, the source of his indestructible glasses, and the creation of a Superboy robot to help conceal his secret identity.  In the second story, mermaid Lori Lemaris asks Superman to save Atlantis from sinking in the past, leading the Man of Steel on a whirlwind mission through time to correct some of history’s greatest tragedies, including the destruction of Krypton.  Sadly, he only succeeds in visiting a parallel universe, and must return home where history cannot be changed.
