Menace of the Reverse-Flash!

THE FLASH #139, September 1963. Cover Artist: Carmine Infantino.  In this historic tale that introduces the infamous foe of The Flash, the Reverse-Flash or Professor Zoom, the Scarlet Speedster Travels to the 25th Century, where a time capsule carrying a costume of The Flash is seized by someone intending to use the suit in order to become a master criminal.

The Flash tries to stop his mirror image enemy, but finds they’re evenly matched until he realizes Professor Zoom is using an artificial protective coating to guard against the heat and friction caused by super speed.  The Flash burns off the coating, and confiscates the criminal’s costume.
