Wonder Woman stars in “BATTLE for the ATOM WORLD! Learn more….

Welcome to another Wonder Woman Wednesday Vintage DC Fans!

SENSATION COMICS Vol.1, No.101, February 1951;  Cover Art:  Joe Kubert;  Writer:  Robert Kanigher;  Penciler:Harry G. Peter;  Inker:  Harry G. Peter

Steve Trevor helps to launch the world’s first atomic-powered ocean liner,  but the ship and similar projects powered by atomic energy across the country spontaneously disintegrate,  leading Wonder Woman to conclude that the very atoms themselves have stopped behaving as science dictates.   It’s all the work of evil genius Professor Luxo,  a former foe of Trevor’s,  so the Amazon Princess calls on Paula von Gunther for aid and pursues Luxo into the world of the atom.

There, the villain has stirred up trouble between Atomite and Hydrogenian forces.  Luxo is poisoning their ocean with Element X,  destabilizing all atoms,  but when he attempts to drown Wonder Woman,  Diana manages to trick him into using his own robot horse to save her.  Normal physical laws are restored,  and Luxo is taken into custody and returned to Man’s World.  Additional stories featuring Dr. Pat,  Astra,  and Romance Inc. round out the issue.
