Candy Shops, Candy you’ve never heard of, and more…

Having to stay at home during these unprecedented times has not been good for my waistline.  Unfortunately, my trips to the fridge and pantry have outweighed my trips to the treadmill.  Perhaps the only good to come out of my daily dance at the candy cabinet (besides the happy tummy sugar fix) is that it got me to thinking about  – you guessed it – the good ol’ days of buying penny candy at the corner pharmacy or local stationary store, etc..  Thus I decided to scour the internet for photos of old candy shops, vintage candy advertisements and more, and I’m going to share them with you now..  Hoping it triggers memories of a happier time during this not so very happy time.
