Wonder Woman and the WINDS of TIME!

WONDER WOMAN Vol.1,  No.17,  May 1946;  Cover Art:  Harry G. Peter;  Writer:  Joye Murchison;  Penciler:  Harry G. Peter;  Inker:  Harry G. Peter

In this time-twisting adventure that takes us to three different time periods,  Wonder Woman heads back to ancient Rome to help a friend,  Dr. Lana Kurree (try saying it out loud),  after the scientist’s cancer cure accidentally kills someone and sends her on a strange journey to confront her own boyfriend in a past life.  Then it’s off to the Old West,  where Silas Sneek has been manipulating Chief Greatheart and his tribe in their trade dealings with Daniel Beene.

Finally,  the villainous Carl Ambishun tries to wrest control of Kurree’s cancer cure by framing the scientist for murder while putting the Amazon Princess and the Holliday girls in deadly danger.  A “Wonder Women of History” feature focuses on Emma Willard,  crusader for education and women’s rights,  who founded the Troy Female Seminary in New York,  the first school dedicated to providing higher education opportunities for women.
