Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen in Trouble for KILLING SUPERMAN?!!! NOOOOOoooo…….
Is Superman Really Dead?!!
SUPERMAN’S PAL, JIMMY OLSEN Vol.1, No.28, April 1958; Cover Art: Curt Swan,Stan Kaye; Writer: Otto Binder; Penciler: Curt Swan; Inker: Ray Burnley.
Swifty Stanton and Lefty Blake hypnotize Jimmy into spending lots of money irresponsibly, but when that plan eventually backfires, they try to convince him to turn over his Superman trophy collection only to get replica versions of the original artifacts.
Next, a trip to the 60th century reveals Jimmy to be the murderer of superman, and when he returns to the present, he must tell his hero what he’s learned in the hopes of preventing the horrible event. Finally, Professor Phineas Potter’s cure for Jimmy’s toothache has the nasty side effect of transforming Jimmy into an amnesiac, rampaging giant.
Hey, it’s not too late to get a 2019 Vintage Superman Calendar even though we’re in the middle of May and have 7 months left in the year. Why you ask? Because you can perforate and accentuate, that’s why! Once a month has finished, you can tear away gently at the perforated line and frame the classic cover art to decorate wherever you see fit – frame ready prints!
Appreciation for the expert commentary on Superman provided for our 2019 Vintage Superman Calendar (cover below ) goes to Dr. Arnold Blumberg. THANKS DOC!! Doc is an educator, publisher, author, comic and pop culture historian, and former museum curator. He was the editor of The Overstreet Comic Book Price guide and teaches courses in everything from comics to zombies to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Find him on Twitter @DoctoroftheDead.
