Welcome Supergirl!

Let this serve as our”official” introduction just as Superman did back in Action Comics Volume I, No. 285, in February of 1962.  The story went like this….

Supergirl meets the world in this historic issue!  Planning a big reveal with Superman, the Maid of Steel is forced to tell her adopted parents, Fred and Edna Danvers, of her true identity much sooner when she must save them from a collapsing bridge.  A worldwide broadcast from the Fortress of Solitude proclaims Supergirl’s existence, and when Superman must leave on a time-traveling mission, it’s up to her to protect Earth from enormous Infinite Monster.  Using a shrinking ray sent back in time by the Legion of Super-Heroes, Supergirl saves the day and makes her returning cousin proud.
