Wonder Woman Breaking News!

Welcome to another Wonder Woman Wednesday Vintage DC Fans!

SENSATION COMICS Vol.1, No.63, March 1947; Cover Art: Harry G. Peter; Writer: Robert Kanigher; Penciler: Harry G. Peter; Inker: Harry G. Peter

When a rash of bank robberies confounds all the usual authorities, it’s up to Army Intelligence to find the crooks.  The thieves are using a mysterious sonic weapon that disorients victims and renders them unconscious.  Steve Trevor, Etta Candy, and the Holliday Girls are on the scene during one of the heists, and they learn that elderly Miss Blab is using her cane to emit a piercing shriek that allows her and her gang to rob the bank.

Wonder Woman intercedes, but the aging adversary threatens to unleash the “Wail of Death” again, this time with lethal results.  The Amazon Princess deduces that the villain is actually Professor Vibrate of Holliday College in disguise, and after defeating the evil academic’s trap, she apprehends the gang while they attempt to escape to South America. Additional stories featuring Little Boy Blue, Sargon the Sorcerer, Mr. Terrific, and Wildcat round out the issue.
