Wonder Woman and the adventure of the OCTOPUS PLANT!

Welcome to another Wonder Woman Wednesday Vintage DC Fans!

SENSATION COMICS Vol.1,  No.41,  May 1945;  Cover Art:  Harry G. Peter;  Penciler:  Harry G. Peter;  Inker:  Harry G. Peter

Diana meets eccentric gardener “Creeper” Jackson,  a suspicious elderly man cultivating strange plants on his property and trying to make enough money to buy back his real estate company from conniving criminal,  Lars Lang.  When Lang tries to evict Jackson and send him to a mental institution,  the poor man snaps and uses his octopus plant to capture Lang’s daughter,  Lyra. Soon,  Lang himself,  the Holliday Girls,  and even Wonder Woman are also added to Jackson’s collection of captives,  and it’s Steve Trevor to the rescue.

When everyone is freed from the grasping tentacles of Jackson’s plant,  the Amazon Princess negotiates a settlement between the two men that will get Jackson the treatment he needs while preserving ownership of his land.  Note:  Lang uses Daily Planet Editor Perry White’s familiar exclamation,  “Great Caesar’s Ghost!”  Additional stories featuring Little Boy Blue,  Mr. Terri c, Black Pirate,  and Wildcat round out the issue.
