Week #11 Winner Announced. Weekly 5 Game Pick ‘Em Week #12 Games Are Ready!
Welcome Back College Football Fans! Every week for the remainder of the 2019 College Football season, you’ll have a chance to win a NEW 2020 Asgard Press Vintage Wall Calendar of your choice. All you have to do is pick who you believe will be the winner of the 5 weekly games featured (below). Each week I will give my take on one game that stands out amongst the 5.
I’ll also add which team I think will win each game as well in case you want to use my expertise as a guide for your picks. Person with the most correct picks THAT HAS MORE WINS THAN ANDY (That’s ME by the way) is our winner and will be announced every Thursday on the blog (If there is a tie, a random drawing will determine the winner). If nobody beats Andy, nobody wins. Don’t be alarmed as Andy is not Jimmy The Greek. A new set of games will be posted every week right up to and including bowl games and the BCS Championship. Lastly, it’s FREE to enter so there ain’t no catch – just some fun to be had and a chance to win.. All picks must be left in the comment section where it says “LEAVE A REPLY” and entered before kickoff of all games to be counted (one entry per person only*) – just scroll all the way down to the very bottom to enter your picks. THAT’S IT!
Before we get to the Week #12 Picks, it’s time to announce the winner of week #11: Our winner this week is Jeffrey Smith who went 4-1. CONGRATS JEFF! I followed up my big win from last week by going 2-3, bringing my 11 week season total to 36 – 49. Outstanding! Let’s proceed to my Pick of the Week and Game 1 on the docket for Week #12 now… WE ARE INCLUDING THE SPREAD (Not straight up wins-losses) SO CHOOSE WISELY and GOOD LUCK! ANDY’S PICK OF THE WEEK …
GAME 1 : #8 Penn State (9-1) @ #2 Ohio State (10-0) -18 : Yes, the Buckeyes have knocked off 2 ranked teams in Michigan State and a previously unbeaten Wisconsin but have they really been tested? Maybe not, but Justin Fields and this team is scary explosive. So I’m going with the Nittany Lions to cover! Andy’s Pick: PENN STATE
GAME 2: Texas (6-4) @ #14 Baylor (9-1) – 5.5 : Man, the Longhorns have played SO many close games this year. A few plays/calls here or there and they can be 9-1. Meanwhile the Bears are trying to rebound after a devastating defeat – their first of the season – versus the Sooners after being up 28-3. I feel they’ll have a tough time rebounding and the Horns will win yet another close game. Andy’s Pick: TEXAS
Game 3: Pitt (7-3) @ Virginia Tech (7-3) – 4 : How bout them Hokies becoming bowl eligible for a record 27th straight year after thumping Georgia Tech last week 45-0? How bout the Panthers playing Penn State close and ending UCFs 25 game winning streak? Very tough call but going with the ol’ VPI. Andy’s Pick: VIRGINIA TECH
Game 4: Tennessee (5-5) @ Missouri (5-5) – 4 : The Vols and Jeremy Pruitt were basically left for dead after an opening season loss to Georgia State and a 1-4 start. Fast forward to winning 4 of their last 5 and things are looking much better for Rocky Top. Mizzou dropped their 5th straight game to the Gators but look to get their home field advantage swagger back. They’ll be no cheering for the Tigers. Andy’s Pick: TENNESSEE
Game 5: Kansas State (6-4) @ Texas Tech (4-6) – 2.5 : The Wildcats come off 2 straight close losses including Texas and West Virginia. The Red Raiders defeated that same West Virginia team handily the week prior. Does that matter? YES! Andy’s Pick: TEXAS TECH
That’s it folks. Be sure to enter your picks in the comment section. One entry per person. See all of our 2020 Vintage Collegiate Football Calendars HERE and all of our Vintage Pop Culture titles HERE. GOOD LUCK in the contest and enjoy another Vintage football weekend!!!
