Week #5 Winner Announced.  Weekly 10 Game Pick ‘Em Week #6 Games Are Ready!

Welcome Back College Football Fans!  Every week for the remainder of the 2019 College Football season, you’ll have a chance to win a NEW 2020 Asgard Press Vintage Wall Calendar of your choice.  All you have to do is pick who you believe will be the winner of the 10 weekly games featured (below).  For the first few weeks we went straight up losses but going by the spread will make things more interesting so THAT”S WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO FROM NOW ON!!  Each week I will give my take on one game that stands out amongst the 10.

I’ll also addwhich team I think will win each game as well in case you want to use my expertise as a guide for your picks, HA!  Person with the most correct picks THAT HAS MORE WINS THAN ANDY is our winner and will be announced every Thursday on the blog (If there is a tie, a random drawing will determine the winner).  If nobody beats Andy, nobody wins.  Don’t be alarmed as Andy is not Jimmy The Greek.  A new set of games will be posted every week right up to and including bowl games and the BCS Championship. Lastly, it’s FREE to enter so there ain’t no catch – just some fun to be had and a chance to win.. All picks must be left in the comment section where it says “LEAVE A REPLY” and entered before kickoff of all games to be counted (one entry per person only*) – just scroll all the way down to the very bottom.  THAT’S IT!

2020 Vintage South Carolina Gamecocks Football Calendar

Before we get to the Week #6 Picks, it’s time to announce the winner of week #5:  We had 3 folks who had 6 wins so we had to randomly choose a winner from those 3 and that person is….. Miles Cliatt from Atlanta, Georgia.  CONGRATS MILES!  Miles chose a Vintage South Carolina Gamecocks calendar as his prize.  I like to make sure our participants win, thus I tanked this week and went 4-6.  After 5 weeks, my record stands at 22 – 28.  Ok, I want to win this week so let’s proceed to my Pick of the Week and Game 1 on the docket…

GAME 1 : #7 Florida (6-0) @ #5 LSU (5-0) – 13.5:  I have bet against the Gators EVERY week.  And lost.  Not this time.. I don’t think they will win in Baton Rouge, but I do believe it will be close and that they’ll cover.  Andy’s PickFLORIDA

GAME 2:  USC (3-2) @ #9 Notre Dame (4-1)– 11.5 : Notre Dame CANNOT lose another game if they want even an outside chance at a playoff birth.  USC is going to shock the world!  Andy’s Pick:  USC

Game 3:  Louisville (3-2) @ #19 Wake Forest (5-0) – 6.5:  Both of these teams come off close fought battles with Boston College which they both won. Wake is home.  Wake is unbeaten.  They’ll stay that way.  Andy’s Pick: DEMON DEACONS

Game 4:  #16 Michigan State (4-2)#8 Wisconsin (5-0) -10.5:  I truly believed that the Spartans would give the Buckeyes a battle last week and beat the spread.  You think I learned my lesson?  No.  Andy’s Pick: SPARTANS

Game 5:  #1 Alabama (5-0) @ #24 Texas A&M (3-2)  + 17.5:  Has BAMA truly been tested yet by a good team?  Ole Miss maybe…  They’re fresh off a bye week but have to play at College Station versus an Aggies squad that gave #1 Clemson a good go and succumbed to #8 Auburn in a close game for their only losses.  They will shock the world with the help of the 12th man!  ..but not this week.  And they won’t even cover.  Andy’s Pick:  ALABAMA

Game 6:  #6 Oklahoma (5-0) @ #11 Texas (4-1) +10.5: Red-River-Rivalry!  Showdown?  Shootout?  Classic?  Whatever.  The battle for the Golden Hat will be won by….. Jalen Hurts and Boomer Sooner.  Just too much O & D for the Horns and the points won’t help much.  Andy’s Pick:  SOONERS

Game 7:  FSU (3-2) @ #2 Clemson (5-0) -27:  Trevor and the Tigers are pissed with that #2 ranking and disrespect after getting out alive at North Carolina a few weeks ago.  Not pissed enough to give 27 to FSU who’ve had a few nice wins and aren’t as bad as I thought (I referred to them as a hot mess several contests before this one).  Clemson will win the game but the Noles will cover. Andy’s Pick:  FSU

Game 8:  #10 Penn State (5-0) @ #17 Iowa (4-1)  +3.5:  Iowa has had the tougher schedule to date including their close loss in the Big House last weekend.  This will be first true test for the Nittany Lions.  Getting the points to Herky at home will be the difference.  Andy’s Pick:  IOWA

Game 9: Yale (3-0) @ Dartmouth (3-0) -13: Dipping our toes into the Ivy league for the first time with 2 unbeatens.  Big Green has won 12 of 13 dating back to their opener last year including a 41-18 thumping  in the Yale Bowl.  The thumping will continue.  Andy’s Pick:  DARTMOUTH

Game 10:  Washington State (3-2) @ #18 Arizona State (4-1) EVEN ODDS:  The Sun Devils have knocked off 2 ranked teams while the Cougs have dropped 2 straight allowing 30 points per game for the season.  Forks Up.  Andy’s Pick:  SUN DEVILS

That’s it folks.  Be sure to enter your picks in the comment section.  One entry per person. See all of our 2020 Vintage Collegiate Football Calendars HERE and all of our Vintage Pop Culture titles HERE.  GOOD LUCK in the contest and enjoy another Vintage football weekend!!!
